Stop yourself during the day and bring your attention to the moment. This can be a few minutes or during your lunch break. How are you thinking? Are you upset with a colleague or a task you are working to complete? Let your thoughts linger on how you are thinking. Sit with these thoughts for a moment, then let it go.
Now it is neither here nor there.
Bring yourself back to the situation. Try looking at this with equanimity. That is, you are not thinking how this upsets or brings joy. You are simply looking at the situation with an open heart, and open mind.
Now brings openness back to your work day or engagement with those you are working with or the tasks that you have before you the rest of the day.
